Salvation Army Wills Day Event - Parramatta
It was a great turn out at Parramatta's Salvation Army's Wills Day event.
Principal Lawyer, Marie Odtojan, an honoured solicitor member of Salvation Army, generously donated her time and expertise at the event.
We thank Glen and his team from Salvation Army or the great work in organising the event and to fellow solicitors who donated their time and expertise.
A Will is one of the most important and powerful legal document a person would draft in their lifetime. However, only a few give it some consideration. Some even dread the thought of thinking that they will one day pass away and avoid the topic of conversation with their spouse or family.
Drafting a Will is not only for the elderly or the rich. Everyone should have one. If you are 18 years of age or over, you should consider drafting a Will. If anything should happen to you, there will be no way your loved ones or friends will know what your wishes are unless you have written Will.
Wills should be updated particulalry if you got marred or re-married, if there are significant changes of circumstances in your life or family structure, such as having children or having built a large property portfolio and so forth.
Did you know that if you were to pass away without a will, known as 'intestate', and without eligible relatives, your estate will pass to the State.
If you are thinking of drafting a Will, you are welcome to discuss your matter with us.
